On Sunday 11th May Macclesfield Hockey Club were presented with a Mayor’s Special Civic Award in recognition of the men’s 1st team achieving back to back to back promotions in the NW Leagues. Team captain Brandon Crichton and men’s club captain Pete Youds attended the awards event at the town hall to represent the club and team.
The award is latest in a run of success for the men’s 1st team who were last year named England Hockey’s team of the year and can now look forward to playing in the North West Premier Division next season.
