A thriving Macclesfield Hockey’s Junior Section is preparing for 8 weeks of tournaments and competitions. With a backlog of fixtures due to the poor weather before Christmas, games have stacked up for all ages. The next weeks will see players as young as six enjoying pitting themselves against teams from the North West.
This Sunday there are two U10s teams taking part in the Timperley tournament whilst the U13 girls compete in the afternoon at Belle Vue.
Macclesfield junior section has been established for many years, introducing both junior boys and girls to the senior men’s and women’s teams. With a committed team of coaches, they meet on Sunday mornings at Tytherington High School.
If you would like to take part or try out hockey, then come and see us at Tytherington High School every Sunday 9.30-11am or contact Angela on 07769344742 for further details. For those who are 13+, training is also at Tytherington on Tues. Evenings 7- 9pm.
